memorial day weekend. two of my friends are moving to brooklyn. cara and iris. one from london, one from charlotte. both incredibly artistic, interesting & talented people. what is it about that brooklyn that is a magnet for so many capable humans? don't know, but i'd be lying if i didn't occasionally feel the pull of that magnet as well. for now i'm enjoying life in the new south, living close to the center of charlotte and so many good friends. i feel gratitude that life has been sweet lately. we've had great weekends filled w/ friends and family and sitting on our porch late into the night over candles and wine, the record player playing our favorites at volumes low enough to talk over.

speaking of iris, i finally saw the documentary she recommended to me you years ago, the cool school; the story of the 60's-era genesis of modern art in los angeles. it was a great piece and, fittingly, i caught a showing at the moca when i was there a couple weeks ago. as an aside, the permanent collection there really impressed me. it was very small, but very good. lots of great photography and mid-century masters, for sure. i especially enjoyed the winogrand, twombly and baldessari pieces.

in other news, i've been contributing to the design/music blog, rock that font. a friend of mine from austin, shawn o' keefe invited me to work on it w/ another friend of his, les jacobs. i've been humbled at the response we've received, it's definitely hit a nerve. only a month in and we've been featured in the national post, fontfeed, the L magazine and, one of my personal favorites, la blogoteque. definitely been a fun thing to be a part of, hopefully it'll keep growing.

as for art, my brother joe got me robert adams' summer nights, walking and it didn't disappoint. i've been also looking at the work of robert canali and william anastasi. also, the work of kate steciw feels both familiar and foreign; it's always cool to see how other artists explore what i feel are similar pursuits. for me, the effect of light on a surface and its ability to reveal and conceal is pretty paramount in the work i've been making recently and i'm always interested when i find work that seems to explore that territory as well. in the world of architecture, i've got to say that the english took the prize with their pavilion at the shanghai world expo 2010. i'm attracted to the structure on so many different levels. good job heatherwick studio.

i'll leave you with this quote by author dave eggers: "we must do extraordinary things. we have to. it would be absurd not to."

18.4.10

april is when the world comes alive on the east coast. been down to georgia and up to new york and everyone seems to be in a good mood. it's been a good month. had a great show at the kalmanson gallery. i have to say, neil kalmanson, the curator/owner is a really cool guy. brooklyn-born and educated at pratt in the late 60's, he embodies generosity and the artistic impulse. as an added bonus i got to meet a lot of the artists from the stillmore roots collective at their annual "art in the woods" show. then i got out of town with my wife for a few days to spend some much-needed chill time in new york. except that we hardly slept. what did jay-z say about the city that never sleeps? oh yeah, and we caught a small black and washed out show in brooklyn, which was so nice.

good month for art. i got to see moma's henri cartier-bresson retrospective, which i pored over like the dead sea scrolls. as far as photography goes, the guy owned the twentieth-century, for sure. i've also been looking at photographer robert franks' book the americans again. in a similar but differing vein than cartier-bresson, i'm constantly finding new things about both. as for contemporary photographers, i'm enjoying the work of bryan schutmaat and his arresting images of middle america. the other photographer whose work has been interesting me is denmark-born thomas bangsted. this picture in particular i've been enjoying.

as for the visual arts, i'm going to recommend the conceptual works of giulio paolini, the painting of ryan mrozowski and the work of fred sandback. and then, lest i forget that my day job is design, i've been looking at the work of argentinian-designer alejandro roman, the illustrations of micah lidberg and berlin-based designer till wiedeck.

this month's mix is all about indie rock and being outside in the spring. so there you go. enjoy.

quote of the month comes from albert einstein: "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science."

6.3.10

well, the green rice gallery show is up and i feel good about it. the work is feeling right and the opening last night was so fun. i think my favorite thing about show openings is getting to see so many of my friends in the same room. kyle young, my favorite vice president of operations of any television network i've ever known, brought a great bottle of cote du rhone to the gallery and we shared it over art talk. so nice. you can check out a small selection from the show here

as i'm preparing for my next show, i'm thinking about some of my favorite work from the past year. in particular, i'm thinking the mira schendel and leon ferrari exhibition at the moma. both artists used language "not merely as a vehicle for expressing concepts or ideas but as an almost physical medium to shape and mold." that idea and the resulting work felt like home to me when i saw it. i wished that i was able to see the moma gabriel orozco retrospective of sorts. his work always amazes me. i definitely feel his meandering curiosity, he seems like one of the few artists who have been able to move between so many types of media so well. i love the exhibition site that moma set up. they really have done a great job in presenting his work.

as for photography, i'm hoping to get out to the pioneers of color exhibit with work by stephen shore, joel meyerowitz and william eggleston at the edwynn houk gallery in new york. also have been enjoying jason fulford's user-confounding website. check him out, i think he may be less of a photographer and more like a curator at large. and i mean that in a really good way.

and speaking of curating, i've been enjoying march's mix. i threw everything on there that feels like spring...especially that washed out remix of small black's "despicable dogs." that track is so good.

this month's quote: the former photographer/curator john szarkowski on what a good artist should be: "you want somebody that enlarges the world for you."

1.3.10

if you're in the charlotte area this friday, march 5th, you're cordially invited to the opening of my gallery show at the green rice gallery in noda. brandon willett will be exhibiting new work as well. we'll be there from 7-9pm. location details can be found here.

5.2.10

a new year, a new decade. feels good, mostly. i've got two gallery shows coming up, one in march here in charlotte and one in april in georgia. if you're in charlotte on friday, march 5th, i'd love to see you at the green rice gallery for the opening nite. here are the pertinent details for the charlotte show. the georgia show will be in swainsboro at the kalmanson gallery. more details to follow.

so much interesting work out there right now. exciting/confusing time to be an artist. more access to the widest variety of art than any other time in history, but often, divorced of its geographical context, it loses its punch or its meaning...takes on new, ambiguous meaning. ah, but you didn't want to hear me go on about that did you? me neither. but you might be interested in some of the work i've been looking at lately...

my brother joseph gave me two books for christmas this year, both of which i've been really loving. the first is robert adams' collection of essays, beauty in photography, robert adams' work from the new topographics days to now always captivates me so its been nice to hear his ideas about beauty, criticism and evil. it's been an interesting bookend to a video essay that andrei prychodko introduced me to by art critic robert hughes and then some of the essays from words without pictures that andy mcmillan introduced me to. the second book my brother gave me is a retrospective of photographer frank gohlke's work, accommodating nature, full of considered landscapes and natural disasters.

as for painting, i've just recently discovered the work of julie mehretu. it's interesting, i came across her work about two weeks ago, her similar affinity to design elements and abstract expressionism is eerie to me. i wonder if she's a fan of artist vieira da silva? the other artist whose work i've been enjoying is brooklyn-based kristin baker, whose colorful paintings remind me of los-angeles-based photographer walead beshty's cameraless photograms. and, yes, i just like the way these pieces look. i'm shameless.

i'll leave you with a great quote from robert adams: "the limits of an art may contribute to its strength...they are not to be regretted as much as used."

and then, as usual, a list of 15 songs i've been listening to this month

1.11.09

it's fully autumn in the carolinas, which is always a welcome change from summer's humidity. definitely my favorite time of year. the last couple months have been, as usual, busy. lots of projects put to bed. the largest project that i've really worked on to date was the launch of the social justice, art, entertainment network, halogen. still a lot of work left to do, but it's in 10 million households already and (hopefully) expanding quickly. it's definitely in its fledgling state at this point, but i've got high hopes for it, for sure. the launch party over at sir edmond halley's was a great time. it's a good team, for sure

been doing a lot of album cover work, as usual. one of the albums i'm most excited about is my friends james + jon duke's band, all the bright lights. very ambient, shoegaze type material while retaining the epic quality all the southeastern kids love so much. should be dropping soon. also, i acted in my first movie. a local indie film by a friend of mine, erin fede, esposito is a comedy set in and around a storage unit. my short part is shared by good friends h. blake edwards and david stanfield. this one's in post production, currently.

i'm working on two shows for the spring of 2010 currently. i always love the process. i've been photographing a lot for the show across the southeast though my favorite stuff seems to come from the charlotte area. not sure why that is. sometimes it's best not to ask too many questions.

november's ipod mix should be up. it's fun. you should check it out.

7.9.09

so i really haven't updated this site lately. i mean, i have, i just haven't updated the news in a couple months. my apologies to all three of you of who keep up with me. been doing a lot of photography still, reading everything i can my hands on about it. studying h. cartier-bresson and walker evans like they were michelangelo. i've been an armchair photographer since i was a child, taking pictures on vacations to places like montana, nyc or montreal (if i find those old pics i'll post them here, they're funny) through to all the black and white pictures of my friends skating. i always paid attention to the photographers i liked, mostly guys like mike blabac, thomas campbell and, of course, spike jonze. i think it was probably sonic youth's 100% video that completely turned me on to black and white photography; all those scenes with jason lee tre-flipping and whatnot. and then i met andy mcmillan and he started turning me on to the contemporary guys like alec soth and tim davis. and then, you know, i went backwards to guys like cartier-bresson and walker evans. now before i go to bed every night, i stare at evans' pictures of the old south, thinking i need to find a way to get that into my work. i've posted some of my most recent photos here, in case you're interested.

if you're curious as to what i've been listening to over the last few weeks, you're always free to check out my monthly ipod mix. this one's great for designing/painting/etcetera to at like 3 in the a.m. you've been warned.

also, check out the adah design collective on cargo. you can find us here. and follow what we're into on twitter.

have a great september

7.6.09

time for the monthly update. this month was straight jeckyl+hyde. high highs and low lows. but i see diamond days on the horizon for sure. i have to say, i'm very thankful for friends, family and a great wife. i don't deserve it for sure, but i've been given a gold mine. i'm blessed.

work's been good. been working on a ton of projects, some of which i'll be excited to post up here when they're completed, signed off on, printed/posted/published/produced etcetera. some of the network stuff is coming out very well. did a really fun green-screen shoot the other day for it with my skilled friends: blake edwards, neal slimick, josh hollars and zach chambers. and sweet brian pace lent moral support. it was a good time.

other good things have been going on, the adah design collective has been gaining momentum and notoriety, which is very cool. my font, oh mercy was featured on typography served. that was a nice shot in the arm. and then my wife and i and some great friends spent a week in jamaica, on the bright beaches of negril. so nice.

the june mix is up just in time for summer. it's a good one too. so much good music out there.

7.5.09

good grief. so much between now and then. too much to tell. lots of work, developments and permutations. david stanfield and i did make it out to the illustrious f5 fest in new york. it was a great time and both dave and i came back refreshed and reset. i may throw some photos up over at adahdesign.com at some point.

lining up gallery shows for 2010...right now it's looking pretty good. we'll see though, never a good idea to get too far ahead. fairly excited at the prospect of future projects and collaborations. in other news, the may mix has been up since late april. just thought you should know.

oh yeah, i got a shout from blu magazine in issue 6. very cool people run that magazine. if you're in charlotte, pick up a copy and support. if you're not in charlotte, you can check it out online cheers.

10.4.09

and more rain. enjoying a rare friday off today. good for catching up on personal projects and generally messing. listening to the school of seven bells album for the 1,784th time. it pares well with the day. i finally updated the art section of my site. now if i could only update the design section...one thing at a time.

if you're interested to know what i've been viewing on the internets lately, you can go here: twitter.com/adahdesign.

28.3.09

another day of rain, which is always nice when i have a morning and afternoon's worth of work to do. at least there isn't something better for me to do on the other side of the glass. march spun past quickly like power lines viewed from a train. i'm straining now to remember exactly what went on. it's 2009 and my head is down.

the charlotte art scene is growing steadily and surely. iris williamson and friends will be throwing a weekend show at their dugg dugg gallery next friday, april 3. if you're in the charlotte area you should definitely check it out. on the not-so-great side, charlotte galleries are closing down left and right. hope the recession ends soon.

it's pretty much april, so i've gone ahead and put up april's mix. new albums by old artists abound. particularly loving the new yeah yeah yeah's album right now. it's pretty poppy, but i'm an unabashed pop music lover anyway. the first album i remember falling in love with was michael jackson's thriller. so there you go, pretty young thing.

will be making the annual pilgramage to nyc in a few weeks. looking forward to the usual gallery trek and hitting all the good spots. i plan on dancing on rooftops in soho.

28.2.09

the end of a non-leap year february. typical winter rain on the other side of my office window may give way to snow tomorrow, bringing march in like the old lion it is. i suspect lambishness on the far-end of the month, but one never really knows. we are all caught up in the sluggish economy and my answer has been to throw myself back into work. last week, however, was a nice respite. i went to kentucky to do a conference and spent a couple extra days relaxing with my family. got to spend some hours in louisville and had a bearno's pizza over on bardstown rd. with mom late on thursday nite. did the elbow around the armpit thing and flew through cleveland. got to give it to the CLE, they've got the snow thing down.

before i get back to freelance and taxes, you should check out this month's issue of wired. the articles on the economic downturn are, as usual, great. i'm convinced that in an era where most of us will increasingly conduct our lives online (i already pretty much do), there is still a huge need for traditional print magazines like wired. to be sure; i want my crowd-sourced information, the wisdom of many, etc. as much as anyone, but there's still something to be said for the combination of a journalist, an editor and a layout/design team. it's a kind of magic.

the march mix is up. so much good music out there, really.

6.2.09

my gallery show with brandon willett at the morningstar gallery in fort mill opens on friday nite, i'm looking forward to that. i'm pretty happy with the new work. it's a bit of departure from my old work so i'm interested to see how it will be received

the february mix is up and it's beautiful. if you like the kind of music i like, you will like this more. whatever that means.

i'm personally not doing twitter. i'm not against it. i just don't need one more thing to do and you don't care where i ate lunch. what you may be interested in, if you're into art+design, is the adah design collective twitter. no inane tweets about airports or hot wings. just cool places to go on the web: art, architecture, music, film, etcetera.

24.1.09

i added a couple new pieces to the design page today, among other things. i'm currently working on a show for the morningstar gallery in fort mill, sc with brandon willett. i'm thinking that it will be a really good show. i'll keep you posted.

13.1.09

congratulations to my friends and coworkers blake edwards and erin fede who won the Project:Direct Short Film competition with their entry Perfecto! They will be traveling to the Sundance Film festival next week to see a screening of their short film and do more schmoozing than is actually legal in the state of north carolina. i'm proud, real real proud.

1.1.09

happy new year. hope you like version 4.0 for erichurtgen.com. thought it was time to roll out a new look. i checked my calendar and it had been 6 months since i'd given the site a face lift. as always the site is a work in progress. i'll be posting/adding new work/sections soon as january moves forward.

and, of course, a new year deserves a new ipod mix

28.12.08

enjoying a bit of a break and refocusing and then on to the new year and all that comes with it.

1.12.08

december mix on lock.

1.11.08

it's finally fall in the carolina piedmont. the trees have exploded in color and the weather's perfect. our friends john mark + sarah mcmillan have been in town more often lately and we've been enjoying nites around the fire. my freelance work is finally slowing to a stop. a few more clients and i'll be finished for the year. i'm looking forward to having more time for personal projects: music, art, writing, video. i'm looking at restructuring this site as well sometime this winter.

november's mix is up. so much good music floating out there, coming in and out of focus. with radio and television nearly irrelevant points of access (with the bold exception of npr) for cultural content, i'm very interested what new systems will coalesce in the future.

speaking of the future, here's a couple sites that i've been enjoying lately: commonwealth, an nyc-based art+design company and nooka watches. i'm not much on timepieces but i must say, i'd like one of those, please.

23.10.08

let me explain. in the last 4 weekends, i've slept in my own bed once. just so you know why it's been forever since my last post. been busy during my weeks, of course. most of my client work is finally coming to a close for 2008 and i'm doing my best to say no until january so i can get some time in for personal projects. speaking of, i've got some personal design work i'll be posting on adahdesign.com in the near future, along with a new CD design project that i recently finished, the embers. dave and i have some other projects up as well. dave, for one, has been putting out some great work lately. i'm a fan.

as always, the monthly ipod mix is up for anyone who's interested. i figure every month needs a soundtrack. it works for me and my wife amanda, so you know...there you go.

if you don't read wired magazine, you really should. it's LIFE for the 21st century.

13.9.08

well, nine.five.oheight went off amazingly well last week. we had estimates of about 1,000 people stopping in to check out the art, the music and the general spectacle. my appreciation to all who came out and my love + respect to everyone who made it so great: the artists, the musicians, the djs and guys like andrae bergeron, who took care of things so that i wouldn't have to. hopefully david stanfield will be posting some of his pics of the show over at adahdesign.com. anyway, it was an amazing nite and i'm glad that i was a part of it.

last weekend was also an amazing weekend in other respects. one of my best friends in the world, john mark mcmillan, released his "the medicine" album at a cd release show at the adahdesign.com.

also last week i had a piece in the "that's munny" show at niche. check out the blog about it. mine's the orange "dreams and visions" one about 8 dolls down. thanks to bobby for inviting me to be in the show. much appreciated. also, it sounds like the show is going to make a reprise at the charlotte art institute next month. very cool. for more munny show photos AND for photos of nine.five.oheight, check out a local charlottean's blog, danger means nothing. the pics are towards the end of the page.

and yes, this month's mix is most definitely up. so go check that out. old school hip-hop, anyone?

23.8.08

just wanted to mention that it's ridiculously beautiful today in charlotte. high 70's most of the day and even now, it's only in the 80's. seriously, is this august?

listening to a little john coltrane this afternoon while i finish up on my new work for nine.five.oheight. i always forget how amazing a love supreme is.

13.8.08

so i just realized that i haven't written an update here in over a month. which is pretty slack, even for me. i have been working on a ton of projects: a handful of album cover designs, an art show in september, a munny design for niche market in noda and, of course, all the varied projects that come through neviah creative, where i spend the majority of my days. i have been updating the brand new adah design collective quite a bit, just trying to build up our content before we really try to push it out to the public in october.

went to atlanta this weekend with amanda, celebrated our anniversary. you probably wouldn't believe how many years if i told you. had a great time, stayed downtown in an aging westin (wouldn't recommend it, though the view from the 65th floor was nice) and did the georgia aquarium thing, which was amazing. 22 foot whale sharks...yes please. anyway, things are good.

oh yeah...i actually updated the monthly mix, quite a few days ago, but didn't have time to alert you to it here. my apologies.

5.7.08

the monthly mix, just in time for the heat. love that new Sigur Rós album, eh?

4.7.08

it never quite feels like the fourth of july if amanda+i aren't in campbellsville. ah well. maybe next year.

3.7.08

dave slaved through the dark veil of the night, working his way through the wilds of the southern tajikistan wastelands equipped with nothing more than night vision and an aging golden retriever at his side, but somehow he did it...the new adah design collective site is up. i think he did a great job. we'll be posting jungle missives weekly for your viewing pleasure.

2.7.08

just got back from nyc on a research trip for work. very helpful, to say the least. on sunday afternoon i went to MoMA and spent a couple hours there taking in the masters of abstraction. i remembered that they had an exhibit on mark rothko and ad reinhardt, so i spent quite a lot of time there. i guess i should move past rothko's work, but it's so captivating in comparison that i find myself always coming back. of course, i'm always amazed by early picasso and motherwell and kline and pollock and all the others, but i keep coming back to rothko. on the other hand, i'm finding myself very drawn to the conceptual work of guys like olafur eliasson. i guess there's more to say, but i'm so tired right now.

i should mention that i'm throwing another art show this year, nine.five.oheight...on, you guessed it, september 5th 2008 here in charlotte at the hart witzen gallery. i'm working with blake edward and stephan monteserin this year, which has been great. lovely lads, them. it's going to be good stuff so you should mark your calendar now. i'm serious.

one more thing: the old adah site is being renovated. i think you might like it.

19.6.08

the june mix is up. so much great summer music out there. santogold, ladytron, m83 and coldplay dressing up like my bloody valentine for a track.

30.5.08

congratulations to my brother peter for graduation high school, finally.

25.5.08

welcome, stetson duke to charlotte, nc

25.5.08

my friends were very sweet to me today. thanks to jm+say, the dukes, my wife + all my friends for making the day so good.

21.5.08

the how design conference was so nice. it was my first time so i appreciated the set up and speakers. joe duffy of Duffy+Partners and RISD's Skolos and Wedell were particularly interesting, among others.

but the best part was probably hanging out in Boston for a few days. i found myself spending my downtime taking the green line to the MFA to sketch rembrandt's work. they had a great exhibition of the spanish artist antonio lopez garcia and i bought a book on vieira da silva, a Portuguese/French expressionist of the 20th century. her work is amazing, especially from the late 60's until her death in 1992.

also met some cool folk in Boston, including shawn o'keefe an austin-based author/designer. we found that we both share a love for all things shoegaze. check out his band, the paper south.

13.5.08

really enjoying these pieces from DHNN (design has no name), an argentinian design firm. feels very post-graffiti surrealistic to me. the packaging they did for beck was amazing as well.

going to the how design conference in boston this saturday. looking forward to classes like "swiss in america: a sixties revolution that transformed american graphic design" and checking out the MFA.

saw radiohead finally with my best friends on the planet. the final encore was "paranoid android" followed by "the reckoner." more perfect? probably not...and their light show was the future.

3.5.08

the show went very well. sold a good number of paintings and still have a month to go. if you're in the charlotte, nc area, please stop by and check out my new work at the green rice gallery. it'll be up through the end of may.

my may mix is so up. i've thought about hooking it up with muxtape just for the cool factor. by the way, if anyone wants my artshow mix of shoegaze favorites i'll gladly oblige.

congrats to big brown on winning the derby this year.

15.4.08

talkin' new york. took amanda to manhattan. we had a glorious time. up to the guggenheim down to the les, soho, noho, chinatown, the village, midtown, central park, bryant park, seward park...

3.4.08

this month's mix is dedicated to my wife, amanda, since it's her birthday soon. so i put in a lot of raw indie rock and women and tracks you can dance to in there.

been commuting to work with my friend jacob lewis. he's a little curt, but quite talented. and ladies...he's quite a looker...

also, my friend stephen bailey's band, elevation just released their debut album on 50 records. amanda+i quite like the first single, razoreyes...

also, don't forget: 2 may 2008: my art show at the green rice gallery in noda. my canvaswork + dj khouri. you can't miss it. bring lots of money...

26.3.08

i've only tested my most recent redesign in firefox + safari...but whatever. if you want to see it right, go download firefox. it's free.

10.3.08

i've been painting a lot lately. and drawing skulls...you know, to keep the eye and hand sharp.

andrei prychodko told me that i have to get more power into my linework.

10.3.08

amanda thought that i should mention that the duke spirit is coming through charlotte with the black rebel motorcycle club next month at the visulite. and, yes, we got tickets. so boss.

redid my virb site. i'd redo my myspace site, but their code is the most annoying piece of mess i've ever seen. seriously, i think monkeys could've done a better job. speaking of better job, amanda believes that i could have done a much, much better job with my own website. she's probably right. i'll get the monkeys right on that.

1.3.08

not even a leap year could keep february from feeling like i blinked then missed it. what even happened in february? not sure. studying the grid lately and things that paul rand said. oh yeah...i spent nearly sleepless nites working on my may show and did a bunch of freelance work for this or that.

being march, i figured that i would go ahead and release this month's mix, much to the chagrin of my father who always gives me a hard time about it. why update the rest of my site when i can make a mix of new music i'm into? that's what i say.

14.2.08

seriously. february? already? crazy. here's this month's: mix. this month's theme: pop. noise pop, dark pop, 80's pop, a brit-pop band that got too cool to do pop in the late 90's, and the song of last summer that won a grammy; all topped off with an old, old gospel tune sung by hank williams.

still painting for my art show in may and got some decent seats for the radiohead show a week after my opening. i would call that nice to very nice.

25.1.08

well, my good friend and adah design compatriot, david bristow stanfield is moving on from neviah/steelroots where we've worked together for over a year and a half to cognition, a design firm over on central ave here in charlotte. though i'll miss seeing him all day, everyday it's a great move and i'm excited for him. adah is definitely still on as we're looking to expand past ten.five.ohseven and assorted projects of last year and move into some really interesting collaborative work.

dave+eric sat in the same room for 40+ hours a week for over 1.5 years. dave taught eric how to really use illustrator and eric taught dave the finer points of fingerboarding.

21.1.08

january. it's been cold. and finally some rain. been super busy, went to atlanta with amanda + did the ikea thing. hung out with old friends mike+susan o'brien and adam lee russell. it was amazing. my soul woke up. also, props to atlanta+the new urbanism thing.

been taking an art class with good friend brandon willett and it's been great so far. the teachers, andrei and amanda prychodko, are amazing artists in their own right. i have a lot to learn. my goal right now is to be an eternal student.

3.1.08

just got back from a much needed rest in the rolling hills of central kentucky. have been exceedingly thankful for all the blessings that 2007 brought, and even the challenges. as 07 closes and 08 opens itself up to me, i feel alive again to possibility and grace. and a happy new year to all of you.

here's a new mix for a new year. cheers.
